A friend, collegue and former professor of mine has donated $300 in the name of her lighting design firm to support this project in Haiti.
I am scheduled to be there in three weeks or so. It will be deeply moving to be there on January 12th as that will be the one year anniversary of the devestating quake. I have my innoculations and my large backpack is about half full of the clothes and gear I will need.
With all the cold and snow, Haiti will be a week in paradise. Who needs a cruise or a beach vacation, I get to to be in the tropics and do some lasting, meaningful work for people who will recieve a lasting benefit from this "vacation"!
